SATURDAY, AUGUST 16 we invite you to join us for "Hemppuccino Tastings" We will provide hemp milk tastings and introduce our hemp and alternative milk coffee drinks throughout the day. ART SHOWING: This month, we are excited to have The Art Studio of the Mind's Eye displaying their art show at the coffee house. The Mind's Eye is a non-profit art studio run by and for artists with mental health issues in the greater Portland metropolitan area. The studio provides free art supplies and instruction by member artists and by a licensed art therapist. They also provide several opportunities a year for members to display and sell their work. FUTURE EVENT IDEAS: "The Touchstone Salon," evening slide programs, book readings, etc. MUSIC: Due to the high cost of licensing to play music at Touchstone, I am putting our plan for live performances on hold, and until we are in the black. However, several of us play music and welcome the spontaneous creation of it no matter what time of day it is! I will likely plan a few informal jam sessions, and would like to have workshops of various kinds in the future, such as songwriting workshops.
